Incredible Running Model of a Rolls-Royce Merlin Engine
I probably mentioned this a few years back, it still amazes me! This is a 1/5th scale running model of a Rolls-Royce Merlin XX engine built by Barrington Hares from 1976 to 1981. There are over 7000 parts.
Hear it run in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xe1LL1IC7Y

More Sad News
I'm sad to report that long-time Gold Cup volunteer Jim Garza passed away on the evening of October 25th.
Jim was 74 years old and worked his 46th Gold Cup race this past July, and was working with us just two weeks ago mowing the lawn at the Dodge Pit area. He was also a Marine Prop Riders member and volunteered at the Inboard races in Walled Lake and Waterford MI.
Jim 's family will be having a private service for Jim in the coming week or so and is discussing a celebration of Jim next July during race week at the APBA Gold Cup.
Rest in Peace Big Guy.
